In recent years, a number of restaurants, wineries and related cultural businesses have either opened or been rejuvenated around Merino Country (Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan Shire area). This has injected the local tourism industry with new energy, new products and new experiences.

It is authentic regional areas like this that inspire a variety of cultural activities. The arts, festivals and other experiences are flavoured with regional ingredients such as isolation, simplicity, agriculture, diverse landscapes and hard yakka.
