The convict built bridge at Towrang, still in pristine condition, was part
of the original Great South Road that opened up the area.
The Towrang Stockade, to the north was the sordid home for convicts
building the Great South Road.
I had the best time I have had in a long time. I loved every minute, eg.
Very friendly people, beautiful parks and gardens, the roses were
magnificent. I hope to come back again...

This self-guided walk takes you through the streets of Marulan to
uncover the history of the area and the people that came before us. The
Police Station and Residence, Railway Station, Great Southern Garage,
Churches and old Hotels are just some of the pieces of history that you
will uncover along the way.
If you start to work up a thirst while on the walk, stop in at one of
the cafes or the historic Terminus Hotel to whet your whistle, or try
your hand at shopping for prized antiques or a gift for someone
special, you may just find what you are looking for.
