Kingsdale Wines

The vineyard is 700 metres above sea level and was selected because of its unique combination of soils and climate, which allows the development of pronounced fruit characters in the wines. Deep red soils, developed over iron rich sediments and limestone, together with a fresh mountain climate achieve this desirable terroir.

The winery employs modern practices with laboratory testing to ensure that the wines produced are of consistently high standard.

A variety of red and white wines are produced. The Emma and Victoria Shiraz are from the same grapes but made in very different styles. Kingsdale also have a lightly oaked Chardonnay, a fruity Merlot and a bronze medal-winning blend made from Semillon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes as well as a fresh dry Semillon, an aromatic Rosé and a liqueur style "Vin d'Orange".

You are invited to try Kingsdale's wines at their limestone-clad cellar door, which overlooks Lake Sooley. They are located on the Crookwell Road, a seven-minute (7km) drive north of Goulburn.

Kingsdale wines also offer wine tasting, wine education and winery tours. Group Tours are $5 entry per person, this cost is refundable with a wine purchase.

Coffee and light refreshments are also available as well as a small selection of locally-made handcrafts. The Cellar Door is open for tasting and sales from 10am to 5pm on weekends or at other times by appointment.

Kingsdale Wines is part of the Merino Country food, wine & culture trail.
