Miles Franklin wrote the novel 'My Brilliant Career' at Stillwater, just
outside Goulburn. It was first published in 1901. Thomas J Hebblewhite was
the Editor of the Goulburn Evening Penny Post during the 1890s and
provided Miles with valuable advice and support, launching her literary
career.
A free self-guided walking tour "Miles Franklins' Goulburn" is available
from the Visitor Information Centre.

Kandoo Equine
Kate Fenner at Kandoo Equine aims to teach you to teach your horse. The
knowledge you gain here can be applied to any horse you encounter in the
future.
Kate is a John Lyons Certified Natural Horsemanship Trainer. She takes
horses for starting/backing and re-education on an in-house basis. She also
holds clinics and demonstrations throughout the year at Kangadoo. Kate
welcomes your interest - come along and watch or take a lesson.
Kandoo Equine runs special courses and lessons for children and young
adults. Kate understands how important it is that children have the best
possible experience, in terms of both enjoyment and safety, every ride.
Kate spends time educating the horse/pony so that the child can get the
most out of it.
Participants are invited to stay in Kandoo Equine's
Kangadoo Self-Contained Cottage B&B.
Other regular events at Kandoo Equine include Ladies' Club and
demonstrations.
